Growth economics

Cohort LTV:CPA, payback, ROAS and CAC, on reconciled payments data.

Growth economics is the financial read of growth: LTV:CPA, payback, ROAS and CAC by cohort, on reconciled payments data. With it, a company knows what each channel and each cohort returns on what was spent on acquisition.

Who it's for

For teams spending on acquisition without knowing what each cohort returns.

It makes sense when

  • The company spends on acquisition without knowing what each cohort returns.
  • Revenue numbers from product and finance don't match.
  • It isn't clear which channel pays for itself, or how fast.

What you get

  • A reconciled payments ledger

One payments base, checked against finance, so every calculation starts from the same numbers.

  • Unit economics by cohort

LTV, CAC, LTV:CPA and payback for each customer cohort.

  • Channel and payback reads

What each channel costs, what it returns and how fast.

How it works

Duration: 2–4 weeks

  1. 01

    Data

We bring together payments, subscriptions and media spend and reconcile the sources.

  2. 02

    Model

We calculate LTV, CAC, ROAS and payback by cohort and by channel.

  3. 03

    Read

We show what the numbers say and which decisions they support.

Frequently asked questions

What is LTV:CPA?

It's the ratio between the value a customer generates over time (LTV) and the cost to acquire them (CPA). It shows whether acquisition pays for itself and how much room there is to spend more.

Why reconcile payments first?

Because unit economics on data that doesn't add up leads to wrong decisions. Reconciliation makes revenue, refunds and cancellations start from the same base finance uses.
